Keep your position when GPS lies.
In cities where satellite navigation is jammed or spoofed, FuGPS tracks your car by dead reckoning — vehicle speed from the OBD-II port plus heading from the iPhone's motion sensors, matched to an offline road map.
OBD-II over Bluetooth
Reads vehicle speed from a BLE ELM327-compatible adapter plugged into your car.
On-device sensors
Gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer and barometer, sampled at high rate.
Offline roads
Your estimated position is constrained to the road network, with no connection required.
Private by design
No accounts, no servers, no analytics. Recordings stay on your iPhone.
What you need
- iPhone with iOS 17 or later
- A Bluetooth LE (BLE) ELM327-compatible OBD-II adapter and a car that reports its speed over OBD-II — see supported cars
- A rigid phone mount — the phone must stay in one fixed position during the drive
FuGPS is experimental software. Do not interact with the app while driving, and do not rely on it as your only means of navigation.
